Lynette, Barb:
In a previous post I used correctly the adjective HYDRATED,
HYDRATED lime, HYDRATED calcium hydroxide. The
calcium hydroxide is a very dangerous substance. The
used one in the confection of pumpkin candies is HYDRATED
calcium hydroxide. Any way, is a little dangerous if not
handled correctly.
As can be confusion, I think you must continue
buying the pumpkin candies in the San Antonio bakery.
Please FORGET my previous post. If misunderstood,
may lead to an accident.
Some days ago I confectioned some pumpkin candies,
and I used the HYDRATED LIME. For generations, our
families has been confectioning pumpkin candies this way...
Can someone in the list explain better the characteristics
of the two substances?
Saludos
Miguel Ibarra
