Big seeds - Small seeds.....

Hi all !
 
Just a question : does anyone know what causes the
big difference in the size of pumpkin seeds ???
 
This week, I received seeds from 2 different pumpkins,
(many thanks to Scott Goodpasture and Judy and Joe Hannemann !) 
and one kind of seed is more than 2 times the size of the other .
 
If I wouldn't know better, I would think the seeds come from
2 different kind of plants.
 
Is there a reasonable explanation ??
