Subject: Is it really the color?
Green, yellow, gray, pink, salmon, or blue,
What's in a color? I know what I grew.
For the larger it gets, the more I'm attached,
For the color doesnt matter, the genetics have matched.
We spend a year, getting excited for what?
Hoping for orange, don't want anything but..
Because the world percieves this mythical color,
But if I show up green, does it make the weigh off duller?
The people who think like this ,
truely have not given this a try,
Because green yellow or gray,
didnt seem to make me cry.
Once you start to fill up that patch,
it doesnt really matter if orange isn't the match.
I have done this, in seasons gone by,
And I was just as proud as pumpkin pie.
So when you decide what your weighoff will do,
try to remember the lovely green ones too.
For the effort's the same, the fruits not to blame,
Both are cucurbut maxima , you know its true..
