Hi Joshua
Ive been growing big cantaloupe for about 7 years, and I grow them like I
grow Pumpkins and watermellons, lots of good compost, one or two on a plant.
They like a sandy soil and lots of sun. I live in central Pa. and I plant
them on black plastic. It keeps the weeds down and creates more heat in the
soil. My biggest was 33 pounds. One thing to remember if you want to take
them to a weigh off in the begining of Oct. Is not to plant them too early.
Most cantaloupe are about 70 day and they dont keep very well once ripe.
