little question

     List
This year I had a real bad time with powdery mildew on my AG's. and I
always am looking for a cure, etc., well this year as an experiment I put on
the main planting hole for one of my AG's 10 lbs of 7-0-20 granule fertilizer
over a months time. After I removed the plant I planted spaghetti squash in
the same hole with no additional prep.
Well the weather is cool now and the dew hits heavy every morning. Those
squash are growing like gang busters and NO powdery mildew even in these
terrible conditions. Does any one have any opinions as to potash as a
preventer of the mildew ???
   Just a question ????
Thank you in advance for your reply.
