Congratulations! (2nd Request)
To all growers who had a successful growing season, We need your help! We are looking for seed donations from your "Giant" Pumpkin, Squash, Watermelon and Cantaloupe. I know it's a little early and seeds may not be dry and available for a while, but I thought I would put in this request while pumpkins are still on everyone's mind. These seeds are needed to further promote "Giant Vegetable" growing to others to start them on the right track to our wonderful hobby. These seeds need not be from 800 pounders, (although we certainly won't turn them down) but more in the 250-500 pound range for pumpkins and squash, (no parentage necessary) but the weight and year would be beneficial. Any large melon seeds will do. These seeds will be advertised and distributed free of charge to promote interest in our hobby by the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Morton Illinois. (Pumpkin Capital of the World) because of the pumpkin cannery there that processes now almost 75% of the Worlds canned pumpkins. Your donations will be Greatly appreciated and a benefit to us all. No donations will be turned down no matter how small. Please email me (privately) at elkskin@aol.com for the mailing address and I will put you on our Donation list. To the Growers that have already promised a donation, Thank You Very Much! I will provide a list of all donators in a "Thank You" letter to the Pumpkins@Mallorn "List" when the seed drive is over. Thank You! + Happy Holidays! Mr. Reggie Elkins ....(Elkskin) (Pumpkin Pool King 1999) |
