Don,
My house blocks a portion of my patch in the early morning. I don't think
this is a problem at all since this particular portion of my patch has always
been where I grew my biggest (three years in a row). Is it the shade? Is it
coincidence? Who knows. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

I have a small wooded area behind my second garden that
interferes with sunlight until about 10:00am. Will this significantly interfere
with pumpkin growth? Should I trim or cut a few trees for firewood?
