Re: Winter?
Winter is a funny time,
When us northerners sift through our seeds,
Thinking of what will grow the big one,
The one to fulfill our needs.
It happens around this time of year,
The air and wind get cold,
The white stuff will soon fill the air,
And about February it gets old.
Because that's the time we get the itch,
To head out to the patch,
But we are still stuck in side,
As springs nice weather won't hatch.
March things start to look up,
We are teased with a good day or two,
Then some damn NorEaster blows in,
We knew it was to good to be true.
Another 20 inches snuck in on us,
That cover crop ain't Rye,
If this crap doesn't melt real soon,
I think I am gonna die.
All I want to do is till my patch,
The future home of my 1304,
But as I look out, with hot chocolate in hand,
So damn cold out you can not ignore.
But I know eventually, this will subside,
And my weather will finally break,
So it is off to the garage, yeah its still cold,
But my cloches I can start to make.
I just wish those who dont know winter,
UNderstood what it is to be freezin,
But I guess it's okay, I can say in a way,
Pennsy's 4th in TTA for a reason!
