So what am i to think ??

Thank you to all of you that sent me the correct parentage of the 658 Emmons. I was looking right at the seed package but I trust the AGGC more than I do my own eyes so wanted to double check so here it is.
      ............. Holland 879-1997  X Lloyd 935-97 & Franek 576-97...............
I know this is a winter time subject when all of us have time to think but can you please explain to me WHY such an incredibly knowledgeable grower such as Geneva Emmons would confuse a young grower by double pollinating a pumpkin. I am going to tear my hair out, The only seed that I have in my archive that is even close to proven is a science project !! I know the Pacific North West is WAY AHEAD  of us in most other parts of the world (I know I have seen George Websters videos of Canby) but this brings up the point it is still "one pollen grain per seed RIGHT" well hopefully someone can help me make sense of it. Thanks ALL and great luck for next year !!!
