Subject: Fw: Barb It's really not good. Daughter Kristin
says that Barb is not awake/aware of what is happening to her. She was in
hospital because of chronic infection. Has been taking antibiotics for years and
they can't find one to knock out the infection. Bacterial I think. They gave her
blood pressure medicine which has reduced the circulation to her extremities and
are now saying she may lose a couple of toes. Since she is unconscious, she
won't be able to make the decision for herself. She's on dialysis and full life
support. She's had more than one heart attack since all this started.
Only bright news is that the doctor's told
Kristin that she would not survive past this last weekend and she is still
hanging in there. One tough lady. Kristin says she is just going day to day. Has
been up and down so many times since all this started almost two weeks ago that
she's just in maintain mode.
