Top Ten
AG People
Even if you are only slightly addicted to our great hobby, you must take a
look at a new web page run by Jim Gatewood of Indiana.
For states and provinces it shows the top ten official Pumpkins, the top ten
average,and related information.
The list is new,a work in progress, and teamwork in each area will see that
the lists are correct.Once completed the list need only be updated once a
year with any new qualifying Pumpkins.
A contact person is listed for each region to assemble corrections and
funnel them to Mr.Gatewood, who then needs to listen to only the one person
in each area.
The address to get directly there----------www.ipga.ws/TTAPumpkins.htm
Take a look and:
1.If your state/province is listed, see if there are any
improvements/corrections you can suggest to the "contact person".
For example a number of regions need weigh-off sites listed.
2.If your state/province is NOT listed you could take steps to see that it
is.
This is purely a "growers list",with information from growers in the
regions. The list has nothing to do with organizations, site coordinators etc.
It gives a whole new way for some growers to see that their efforts have
done well,on a regional basis, rather than comparing with the few new records
each year. Also it gives growers nearly everywhere a list to shoot for that
is more tuned to the local AG growing conditions.
Don't be just a "taker" of AG information when here is a good chance to
become a supplier.Ever bit of help counts.--AE
