I'm sure this isn't what your looking for but my 502.5Ciliberto plant of 2000 showed all the signs of a great plant...7.5 inch circumference main vines, 24 inch leaves thick as cardboard, aggressive (semi-aggressive anyway), lots of females, but it never set fruit. It pollinated my 455Andrews00 (from 722Holland, same cross as 697ciliberto except the 502 was green for me...imagine that!) which has produced well....954* and 655)
I was so impressed with the plant that I chose to keep it over winter as a clone and I grew it again last year......huge leaves, huge vine, would not set fruit. Two years....no fruit. Im encouraged that I've done the right thing by keeping it as a clone with the results of mark Pistono's squash...700pounds in 37 days..954 before a small hole appeared...next year (should it survive my basement environment again) I will use it as a pollinator again.
You ask this posted question with some ideas in mind I'm sure....whats going on?...............G
