RE: 10 years ago

Mike

1.As usual you make sound comments

2.I'll post the "10 years ago" on email since several can't open the
file.-----AE

Al,

can't open that file. Dang it!!

But one of the most interesting comments I found is Alan Nesbitts who grew
years back took a long vacation and is now growing and states can't believe
how good the genetics are now. Thats a cool observation. a plus!

Just in the 8 years i have been growing seems we see a lot less stem
spliting etc...ribs seem to be getting better too. Although I sure uow
would disagree

I often wonder about the growers going back and using one of the "classics"
perhaps an honor roll participant. In their cross my guess is that by doing
so your missing out on the years of a selection process that has brought us
to todays seeds. But then again maybe a sucession planting, for
later.......just dont know?

Seems we have two great things happening with the information hi-way is that
a good seed ...one that growers with some, good reason, spontaneously decide
thats "hot" want that seed....

....then the seed gets planted.......which is great....because were playing
out most of the seeds..... and end up with the best of the batch
kinda........you still have to figure in the area , expertise, you name it
...but with the TTA you can get a better picture.....of how a seed does in
that environment..........the season top ten...is interesting...to
add.......just as a footnote..............

For whatever reason some awesome crosses are being made but never
tried....because of some influence.......

the same great genetics but different combos......I think its these
different combos that blaze the new trails........mb
