Several years ago I grew the 906 Handy (726 McDonald X Open) I grew two seeds that year. One produced my 650EST and was bright Orange. The other produced Cream colored pumpkins. The odd thing with the Cream plant, when germinated as a seed, it produced two leaders with separate seed leaves.
That year I called Paul Handy and he told me some of his 906 seedlings had done the same thing. I believe he told me he pulled all his double sprouts out. I planted mine but did pinch the smaller one off after awhile. This may have been a true twin or clone. If someone was interested enough, I think Paul would probably give you some seeds to try. It was not planted much, if at all, after the first year as it proved to be a blossom end splitter. You would have to germinate it, then break the rest of the seed shell open to see if they had the same root system or a single root system. Hey Nic, sounds like one for you!
