Re: elevations



I think one of our biggest challenges in the intermountain
area are the cool nights, and wide temperature swings. Its
not uncommon to have swings of 35 to 45 degrees between day
and night. In the fall, we seem to have a freeze usually
about the first week of September, then great weather again
all the way up to October.

Some growers have shown, however, that with early season
protection you can grow big ones here. Also, our sun goes
through less atmosphere, and seems very direct, less hazy...
I don't know, maybe a small factor.
