Introduction
Hello!
I am dutchess at www.theirisfarm.com. I have joined your group to learn
what I can
about growing large pumpkins...not to compete with any of you, but to
attract bundles of folks to the farm in what is an off season for
irises... I believe the pumpkin I want to grow
is about 70 lbs, and used for decoration...
If any of you have ever seen Gatlinburg, Tenn when its in full fall dress
for tourists, you
would be so proud of what all the work on the pumpkin has made possible.
Will each of you please tap back with your recommendation for where to get
seeds
for such a project? I'm thinking 2 acres of pumpkins is about all I
could handle.
I found one site that offered seeds, but they appear to be sold out for
2002 and
I'm not sure when 2003 seeds will be available...
Any advice or assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
