Brian, yes there are giant pumpkins being grown in Orange Co.  I saw some
when I was in Huntington Beach visiting my sister.  They have a weigh off at
a local nursery and an email list.  If nobody writes back w/the info, I can
get it from my sister.   Gloria :)
