Re: What are you Thankful for?

Thankful to me - 

Good friends,
Good soil, 
Good seed,
and most of all.. good luck!

Have a great Thanks giving, and as I eat my pumpkin pie today, I will be
thankful that some poor pumpkin (or squash) gave its life for me so that
I can enjoy the cool whip dolloped on top of it!

Oh, did you want a poem? Here ya go...

The littlest Pumpkin

Each year I pick out my seeds, 
Hoping for 1000 pounds,
Working outside, that's where I hide,
Tilling my patch in mounds.

Season starts, and it's all going well,
But each year a problem I find,
Hail, Neighbors, cats, and moles, 
Causes a flame to burn my behind.

But for some odd reason, I can not tell,
I always continue to grow,
Because I love watching these gentle giants,
For what reason? Hell - I dont know. 

So I set my blossoms 3 weeks late,
Should have been the first of July,
But to have a few to carve for the family, 
1000 pounds? I'll be a bit shy. 

Season is done, Altoona I go, 
with my whopping 400 pounds,
But Im just as happy, I even got there,
As did the miracle-gro hounds. 

Here we go again, tilling and chilling,
Visions once again dance in my head,
Sugar plum fairies? Are you kidding?
That 1000 pounds these thoughts have led. 

The nightmare continues, year after year, 
But one day I shall prevail,
For I continue to dream of 1000 pounds,
>From the seeds I get in the mail.

Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office? What are
we supposed to do, write to them? Why don't they just put their 
pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen can look for them while 
they deliver the mail?
