Great point !! I have grown a Big Squash (703) on a tinny plant with no vine
burying and only watering in a little area no bigger then 4 ft X 4 ft around
the stump. I didn't dig a hole larger then the pot and it happened to be in an
area of my lawn I never used for anything but collecting weed seeds.
It seems the more I learn the less I know !! I tried "ALL" the tricks it
seems and either all my vines cracked or I blew the pumpkin up or worse formed
one heck of a soil pathnogen. next year back to basics..... OH heck who am I
kidding I will throw the Kitchen sink at the patch again in hopes to see my
first pumpkin over 800 lbs !!! Grow EM or Blow EM.........take care all !!!
