re:Mike's Trivia question: 705 Stelts


I'm guessing that the answer is the 705 Stelts.  I could see the 801.5
edging it out, but the 705 still gets my vote as "the seed I want the
most that I will never see."  Not many were grown, so it's numbers are
even more impressive.  Or are they?  Perhaps the fact that the pumpkin
didn't have many seeds means that the few that there were ended out in
the hands of experienced growers, so the average is higher.  Food for
thought.  That's why I always get excited about seeds that do well in
the hands of newer growers (this line of reasoning led to a 1385# world
record).  So, what's the future top seed that will come out of 2002,
based on what we saw this year?  I can think of a couple, and let me
tell you, they don't come from 1000+ pumpkins!
