PUMPKIN POETRY CONTEST
Yes, Guys, we WILL have one.
Anyone out there willing to judge? I need three judges.
Your task is difficult but not time consuming - all you need to do is to
read all the entries and pick your three favorites.
Your votes will be tallied privately (by me) so that you can keep your
friendships with everyone.
I'm behind in my schedule this year, so I'll probably set later deadlines.
I also need three prizes. Maybe a coveted seed, a video or book. One year it
was calendars from New Zealand.
The poetry rules are simple. Post your poem to me privately or to the list.
Either way, I'll save ALL entries and send them to the judges when the
contest closes. Once they have decided, I'll announce the winners and send
the prizes.
Now, to get you started, here's a segment of a private thread carried on by
me and Marv 'Lubadub' from Altoona. YOU can do better than this:
In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree,
Where I planted my second AG
When the Gravensteins fell
My plant looked like heck
And the judges disqualified me.
