RE: Pumpkins in Israel
There is a photograph circulating the internet of a US Soldier in Iraq
who is manicuring a piece of Bluegrass sod with a pair scissors so as to
remember home.
So stranger things have happened.

Are there any pumpkin growers out there in Israel (or elsewhere in the
Middle East)?
I have monitored this list for years and don't recall seeing anything
like
that from that area in the world. (And Im trying my hardest to ignore
the urge
to make a smartass comment about them blowing up thier
pumpkins.....because
that would be in extremely poor taste). I do however think the heat,
dryness,
and sun strength would be a problem, although not impossible to
overcome.
Misting, shade, and lotsa water......give it a try !...........G
