For a moment there I thought you had entered the poetry contest:
It should not have been a suprise
To see with my very own eyes
Someone selling their seed,
No doubt out of greed,
So here is a word to the wise...
Consider this, my dear friend,
Where will this all end?
Will it ever get to where
Growers here - and everywhere-
With few enough dollars to spend
Will actually pay folks to grow
Their precious best seeds just so
That they can win fame
With a recognized name
And end their financial woe?
The people who send seeds for free
(And many have sent them to me)
Will bristle like cactus,
Discontinue the practice,
And then where will new growers be?
So let's all agree to deplore it
This 'seed auction' scheme, to abhor it.
What I recommend
To cause it to end
Is for growers everywhere to ignore it.
