Steve,
I have used fresh cow manure that I moved in the fall and used in the spring and have not had problems in all the years I have done it.?So I think will be fine.

I have access to dried cow manure and lots of fresh horse manure. Any advice
which to use in my pumpkin pits next year AND how do I accelerate the rotting
of the horse manure over the winter here in Vermont?
