the 977 becomes a jack o lantern

Ahhh...it's November 1st. Only 337 days or so to next years' weigh-offs!!!
Yesterday we went for our final pumpkin tour of the 1997 season. Yes, we
were there. We watched the 977 become a jack-o lantern. The day was
beautiful. 85 degrees (or higher). Not a cloud in the sky. Sacramento. On
the front steps of the capitol building. Even the Guv came out to
congratulate Chris. The media was all over Chris. The Security Men were all
over the Guv. It was great!!!!Jabba the Hut became Jabba the Indian Jack-o
lantern. The carver (dirk) had created a headpiece befitting Jabba. It was
at least 18 ft long with Pampas grass , bells, fruits and vegetables
decorating throughout. WOW! When we left Jabba was carved, Chris was still
getting media attention. This was at 2 pm. Chris had been there since 5 am
. The price of glory. So if we don't hear from Chris today we know he is
sleeping. Trying to catch up from all the excitement of Yesterday. We also
were given a tour of the capitol with Chris. Oh! It sure pays to know the
right Pumpkin grower!!! We were given a special tour. Up where not "just
everyone" gets to go. The views from the Capitol were OUT OF THIS WORLD. We
certainly had fun as did Chris.( He was awarded his checks for $1849 and
$9770 by the Sec. of Agriculture). It's time to get those bubble envelopes
off to Chris so we will all be in line for those seeds. It won't be long
