I was eyeballing these graphs and it looks like that the time from pollination
to maturity is somewhere between 45 and 60 days.
Based on this, it would seem that the strategy would be to plant as soon as
possilbe and hold back any fruiting until 60 days before your planned maturity
date.
I would think that you would want to plan your maturity date based on the
historical weather records for your area. Plot the average day/night temps
against time and pick the date when they start to drop off into fall temps
(whatever that means).
Just thinking out loud...what do you think?
