wood ash also comes from fireplaces. If you check around, or put an ad in
the local paper, you would be surprised at the number of eople who do burn
wood, & cannot use all their ashes. Most of them would be delighted to have
you haul their ashes away. Therre are just so many ashes that will safely
go on a small garden area, you know, so even gardeners will have some left
over, if they have only a small garden.
    As far as the black plastic, it will work very well, but I believe that
unless you have consistent high temps, I have heard it recommended that
uyou leave it on for 3 weeks.
