Interesting comments What you say sounds right. but one question if you
grow a bunch of plants in say a greenhouse, how do you choose the best
looking plant and the one you think will give you the biggest pumpkin. what
i do is grow ten plants in my greenhouse, once they get to the right size i
plant them all in my field. my soil is a mixture of compost(a mix of grass,
leaves, cow crap, and lime) . i take a soil test once in the fall before i
put down my winter rye. And once before I put my plants in the ground. Then
once I have good size plants, then i choose what plants to keep.
with all of this do you think i should do something different or do you
think i'm on the right track.
any comments would be great.

p.s. sorry about the seed crack I was just joking...
