Blast it

My pumpkins are suffering in the tremendous winds we are having. They
are around 70 KPH at the moment but temperatures are still in the top
teens. Today and tomorrow is the A&P show (sort of a State Fair for you
in US). I have just got back as I have to sign off the safety measures
for the joy rides and a lot of the rides cannot even be erected. Trees
are coming down in some of my parks and there is no sign of respite.

Tha main leaves on the pumpkins are tatteresd so I have put up more
glass doors and closed in the existing ones.

El Nino has a lot to answer for but this only serves to increase the
challenge. So far 220 packets of seed have been given out in Taranaki so
we are hoping for a lot of pumpkins in April even if the size could be
affected by these terrible winds.

DO NOT FORGET
If you have any oneliners etc as in previous postings, I would be
pleased to get them to use in 'Pumpkin Post'.
Cheers and have a good weekend. from a wind torn NZ.
