Richard or any one that can help.
Trying to understand the genetics of these A.G. gets my head spinning.
Hopefully someone can help clear it up. It is my impression that when you
cross two different pumpkins. 50% genetic traits from each parent are
combined....?? If this is true where does the other 50% of each parent
go?? It is also my impression that each seed has a different genetic
code.? Perhaps many dihybrid crosses that could create all kinds of
posibilities... with a giant monster it is possible for the recessive
hidden traits to show up in the next generation..? Still your best bet
seems to always cross to your seed a bigger pumpkin..? Also this year i
ended up with half my pumpkins producing white seed vs. tan are there two
different strains??? Can some pass the Excedrin?................brock
