Re: AG THOUGHTS what else

Bob M.,
I cover all male flowers the night before. I use plastic sandwich bags, when
the flower opens it makes a perfect seal unlike paper. This helps keep the
bees out. What I want to know is how many growers examine the male flower for
size and number of lobs. I count the lines at the base of the male flower,
looking for 5 will not use a flower with less than 4. I also look for size of
the base, looking for big male lobs or segments so to speak.
