Has anyone here grown gold rush pumpkins this year? They have
HUGE stems. This year we were so happy with them, many grew in excess of 50 to
60 lbs.
However, when we went to carve them for Halloween, most had
rotted inside right beneath the stem. They were still suitable for Jack
O'lanterns, but the caps were destroyed. Any ideas? The stem itself is fine, and
quite firm, and from outward appearances, everything was totally normal, just
when I took off the top, it was black.
