Hi Bob, Long time .... After I till the soil, I put down my leaves, spread
out my manure on top of that, then down goes the old AG's squash, potato
peelings, etc, right up until spring rototilling time, and add lime on top
of that(not much this year, as my PH is 7.2)... I let my kids hack at the
giant shells, they love playing with the shells, trying to cut it intolittle
pieces..it is actually kinda fun, cause it slices into nice pieces when it
gets softer......Anyone out west grow any of those Rockwell 879 seeds I sent
out for your drawing?
