Judy,
This is very common. The color means nothing, but those darker, tan seeds
sure look meatier. They will germinate the same and both produce. The
genetics causes the seed color variation. Just make sure the seed has
something in it (a little thick, not flat). If flat, pitch it! Will not
germinate.
