1st Annual Ugliest Pumpkin Contest....results
Hello everybody,
Well, it's over...results are in!
For beginners I would like to thank some people...Erin for helping me set
this up... Glenn Andrews, Bill Carpenter, Erin Carpenter, Jim Dubois, Russ
Korn, Pierre Marchand, Mike Nepereny, Deby Wely and Nic Welty, without these
growers the contest could not have been held....and of course, all the
voters!
The voting e-mails were something to see! A few of them had some great
comments such as :
"Mother nature had a bad hair day with that one"
"What a nauseating lump that is!"
"The people who grew that one must be experts...nobody could dream up such a
disgusting vegetable!"
"It has a sexy yet icky look, kind of a Mae West with chicken pox!"
"If it was in my patch, I'd be afraid to go in it"
"the shapely curves....it's skinny waist are somewhat alluring!" This fellow
admitted to being on cold medication. Strong stuff!!!!!
Well, those are just a few examples of what people had to say.....now on to
the results :
3rd place : 11 % of the votes....Mike Nepereny with pumpkin #3
2nd place : 30 % of the votes....Connie Giambra with pumpkin #6
Drumroll please.....
With 49% of the votes, the winner of the 1st Annual Ugliest Pumpkin Contest
is....
Jim Dubois with pumpkin #2 !!!!!!!!!
