Green mottle Bad ?
A subect that I feel needs input and working out....... a standard if
possible, is the squash ruling. A joke anyways right?aaaaahhhhhh there all
squash....ouch what determines a squash seems to be so SUBJECTIVE 75% 65%
50% Do the bottoms count???..and who is calling it..its different
everywhere.....if its a real big one (Best of show) no one is going to
(who is willing to) shut down THE mixed mottle....different judges ,
different times.... Heres the catch 22...do you punish those that plant
from the squash mix.....which right now tend to be taking weights higher.
Do you suppress the exploration at this stage...or tolerate it. Are we over
the fear that a squash is going to rule!! and we need to suppress them
out. Knowing that adding squash types to enhance weights works. Is it
perhaps just a period of change, and will eventually in evolution go nice
orange. or is Demand of nice orange genes only going to surpress the
exploration????..........is salmon color our best...... is white
cream.....better.......do we want a color discrepancy to our times to
hinder us............................when eventually orange should prevail.
I am to cast a vote towards
BASE COLOR) orange pumpkin) or green base squash ........Most squash I have
seen seem very blantant they're squash............needing a hek of alot
and growers input input!!..input!!!!!!!.......Brock
