Seeds available

Well the seeds were finally dry and packaged up last night. Since it seems
I've already sent the list my address I'll include it again with an offer of
my own seeds. I have seeds from my 508 and 427 available. If you are
interested then send me a stamped self addressed bubble wrap envelope. If
you are from outside the U.S.A. then include $1.00 US currency to cover
postage. For US residents then 55 cents in postage should be adequate on
your envelope to get the seeds back to you. This year the crosses were
controlled and the pumpkins were bigger in a poor year for the Northwest.
Weights were down throughout the region due to a cool and sometimes wet
growing season. My weights increased on my pumpkins so I expect I'm doing
more things right to improve in a poor year. For the first time next season
I will be growing a plant from my own seeds because I believe in the
potential of the cross that I have made. Hopefully my hunch will pay off
and the weather will cooperate next year and I will grow a new personal best
by a substantial margin from this seed.

  About the seeds: 508 Michalec 99 (916 LaRue 97 X 769 Mettler 98) Bright
orange smooth skinned. White seeds.
427 Michalec 99 (769 Mettler 99 X 916 LaRue 97) Pale orange fairly smooth
17% over the charts. Only produced about 200 seeds. Tan seeds
340 Michalec 99 Same cross as 508, harvested early September for Puyallup
fair. Many white seeds.

I also grew the 759 Mombert 97 plant last season but kept none of the seeds
from its fruit because I had so many problems with splits on that plant. If
splitting is a genetic trait as it seems to be I don't want to pass those
genes on.

I am not selling seeds and I don't want any money unless I need the buck to
cover international postage. I do this for the fun of it and if it ever
starts to seem like a chore, then I'll ask for money for my time and
trouble, but I haven't reached that point yet. If anyone grew out the seeds
I sent out last year please let me know how they did for you. I would ask
the same of anyone who grows these seeds next season, it will be interesting
to compare notes.

Send your self addressed stamped bubble wrap envelope to:
