Two of my friends grew A G's from the same seed stocks and lived less then 5
miles apart one of them grew a 319 pound pumpkin and the other grew a 400
pound squash I am wondering if it could pollination/ The guy who grew the
pumpkin hand pollinated and the other let the bees do it?? Go figure

Looks like a pumpkin to me.....the green i think is all environmental, my
second biggest pumpkin was considered a squash because it was more than 25%
green. It was a pumpkin all the way. the green wasn't squash green, it was
just a light green. Lighter colored pumpkins seem to develop green on them
for some reason....why is this? Even my deep orange pumpkin had quite a bit
of green on it, really dark green in fact, near the shoulders and on the
bottom ribs. They were both not related to any squash, so i think it has to
do with heat of summer or cold of fall, something from the environment.
