Re: Free Seeds!
Andy,
I for sure can send you some of the 656 (Nice Orange one), however, not sure
on the 440 squash...I roasted them after I saved off a bunch, however, I did
not realize the demand for the squash...people want to grow them on purpose?
Mine have been all accidental. :-)...but If I have extra I will.
On the question on how well I like my seeds this year.
I lost 4 plants due to 16 inches of rain.
However, the 4 that grew in the drier areas:
760 Patrick - GREATEST SEED EVER. (Color, shape, ribs, etc)
850 Hester - Great Orange Color...but is not high at blossem end like 760
Patrick.
815 Checkon - Ugly Pumpkin...Thick walled but too ugly for me.
837 Thorson - I got a green squash, however, seeds I gave friends grew orange
ones.
Next year I am after seeds that produce great color and shape pumpkins...I
will grow the 760 Patrick again...in fact as many plants as possible :).
Good Luck in 2001.
Dave

<< David, glad to see you grew such a nice looking pumpkin. I'll be sending
out my bubble pack, if you haven't been swamped with requests. I'd also
like a couple from your 440 squash, too. How would you rate the seeds you
grew this year? I'm planning on planting the 815 Checkon and a 760 Patrick
next year. I also have an 837, but don't know if it will get planted. I
like the beautiful pumpkins that the 760 seems to produce. Good job on the
season, and hopefully I'll beat you next year. Too many different problems
here this year.
