Re: compost



I don't have hard data, only what I've seen. Once
someone went around my in-laws neighborhood selling
compost made from Christmas trees. I think it was
the Scouts... What a disaster! Everywhere that compost
was spread, nothing grew! I think pine has a natural
inhibitor for other plants. It basically wiped out
sections of their garden.

Notice how things do not grow beneath pine trees?
Not even a lawn will grow under them. Anyway, I would
avoid any compost with pine.
