Was this an instance of pumpkin judged as squash?
Was this a late season color change or were they one yellow
and one green pumpkin at pollination time?

List,
If you didn't already know Kirk's fruit at this weighoff (1064 lb
squash & 1097 pumpkin) both came off the same plant!
I believe it was the 723 Bobier. Also the OTT
measurement for Steve Daletis's pumpkin was 413" and it was awesome!!!
Oh, by the way my PB of 814 lbs finally cracked the top 10 at Canby
(9th) which as you can see by our results is no easy task. My fruit
actually was a squash all year long until the last 2-3 weeks and it made the
unmistakeable trip to pumpkin land. Luckily the weight came with it at
almost 90 lbs heavy!
Even if Geneva's pumpkin didn't weigh 1262 lbs
(which it did), it was the most beautiful orange fruit I think I have ever
seen. You've got to check out the pictures. Shellie Cramer was
shaking so much they might be a little blurry!! Just kidding Shellie.
I feel honored to be in the presence of greatness at this weighoff.
Well gotta go, time to start for next year, it looks like
it's gonna take some planning! Congratulations to all the growers, this
was a great year!
