Green to Orange

Hi List,

Someone please help me with whether or not pumpkins will continue to ripen AFTER they are picked.  I have picked green pumpkins and they turn orange within a few weeks of being picked.  Is it considered ripening if the color develops off the vine?  Is it best to let the fruit ripen fully on the vine before picking?  I've heard that pumpkins that are left to ripen on the vine keep longer after they are picked...can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
Mike

Benalate is the best at stopping powdery mildew. spray it on now, at 2-tbsp per gallon and it will wipe out your mildew problems.
