Hi,
Now, as the weighoffs are over I am already planning for the next growing
season. I would like to add some manure to my soil this fall in addition to a
cover crop of winter rye. But I am not sure which type of manure is best for
giant pumpkins. I have available cow and horse manure. Which of them is better
and which will break down quicker? What do you think? What is your experience?
Thank you very much,
Martin Reiss

P.S.: For those of you who are interested: I took second place at the German
National Pumpkin Weighoff.
The results ( top five ) were:
1. Eugeniusz Zygadlo 500.9 lbs
2. Martin Reiss 480.2 lbs
3. ? Heckelmann 376.9 lbs
4. Rainer Krautmann 360.2 lbs
5. Michael White 222.7 lbs
