Ron Wallace's Wedding
Friends of Ron Wallace,
Ron's wedding was held this past Monday the 8th. Monday might seem a
little unusual to some. However, If you are a pumpkin grower and a head chef
that needs to work weekends it is more understandable. As I believe Alum
noted, he has his priorities strait. His wedding was worked in right after
Topsfield!
A great day was had by all. Some of the local growers in attendance were
Huge Wieburg, John Castelucci, Don Langevin, Dave Hampton, Warren Cole,
myself and a bunch of others. Needless to say most of us were at the same
table and the conversation never stopped. Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins! We
really are all sick.
The reception was held at Quidnessett Country Club in RI. With Ron being a
chef the food was superb. There was enough food for 3 weddings. It just kept
coming. No one went home Hungry.
His new wife Melissa is a real catch. As warm as they come and a looker
too. Ron said he would be gone a week on his Honeymoon, but warned when he
got back he was going to get serious about pumpkins. Last I saw of Ron as he
left on his Honeymoon he was worried about stem stress when he was away. I
don't know quiet what he meant, I thought all his pumpkin were already
harvested?
