pumpkin$ in school
Much excitement in school today!! I teach middle
school math and the Science teacher and I do a pumpkin
unit with our seventh graders(and our giant pumpkins
of course). This often leads to interest in growing a
giant so we have started pumpkins at home and given
them away to the kids (and adults) in the past. Today
I received $478 from a McDonalds grant to buy grow
lights, warming mats, soil, pots, tape measures, and a
tarp! to enhance the unit. Cool, eh? Our students come
out of 7th grade liking pumpkins whether they want to
or not!
