Port Elgin along with the rest of the growing world just recently got the news that the Ottawa/St.Lawrence Growers Ass. were folding. We really feel bad about the demise of this great organization as we became good friends and partners in forming the Giant Pumpkin Growers of Canada. Together we annually organized the Guelph Growers Seminar and the presentation of the ORANGE MASTERS JACKET and ORANGE CUP. Congratulations Bruce and Glenn and the rest of the team for running a first class organization, we will miss your involvement.
 
Port Elgin Pumpkinfest will now need some time to re-group but at this time we will confirm that we will host  a GROWERS SEMINAR and that it will probably be held on the weekend of April 6 & 7th, 2002 as the previous weekend is Easter.
With the help of you the grower we will also offer some form of a seed bazaar.  Please take the time to let us know what you think and if you can help in anyway with either seeds, suggestions or seminar ideas. We look forward to hearing from you -
