That is one interesting way to make the weigh-off "fair".  I would suggest
that it is more a result of the genetics behind the seed vs. the size of the
fruit itself.  

I guess if I were competing, I would want the Stelts 705 seed!  Would that
be acceptable?

Does anyone out there other than D.BHASKARAN grow orange pumpkins?  He is
already giving me some seeds but I need about 150 seeds, in the 700lb area.
I am part of the GPC weighoff, but I am also involved in another smaller
weighoff.  Usually we don't use giant pumpkin seeds in this smaller
weighoff, but they have changed their minds, on the condition that the giant
pumpkin seeds are orange.  They don't have to be from the same pumpkin as
long as they are about the same weight.  We would need about 120 - 150
seeds.
