8. Robert Aller    905.5 ("Best of Show" for prettiest pumpkin)
9. Lisa Hester     825
10. Ron Wilson  772.5
 
The Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers' first  weigh-off was a tremendous success, with the top ten pumpkins averaging 985.5 pounds

Someone in an earlier post reported some misinformation. Steve Handy's 1112.5 was not disqualified and was never even considered questionable. This misinformation is now on several sites. Steve took 2nd place. And 8th place at 905.5 was Robert Aller, not Alder.
To all those who used this misinformation on your web sites, please take the time to correct this so Steve can get the credit he deserves.
