Hi all,
I just wanted to let you know that I took first place at the German National
Pumpkin Weighoff this year. The weighoff was held in Ludwigsburg near
Stuttgart on Oct. 6 2002. My winning 658 lbs pumpkin is a new personal best
for me as well as a new German all-time record. We had about 15 entries for
our weighoff this year. ( Last year we only had 6 entries and the winning
pumpkin was only 501 lbs )
Here are the results ( top 6 ):
1. Martin Reiss 658 lbs ( seed: 712 Kuhn )
2. Steffen Heckelmann 593 lbs ( some Holland seed )
3. Edmund Reck 529 lbs
4. Michel White 515 lbs ( seed: 845 Bobier )
5. Rainer Krautmann 503 lbs ( seed: 923 Ciliberto )
6. Peter Frey 489 lbs ( some Dill seed )
Exhibition only:
Martin Reiss 518 lbs ( second, sound fruit on my 712 Kuhn plant )
