Date: 10/8/02 6:25:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time From: m*@attbi.com Reply-to: p*@hort.net To: p*@hort.net Sent from the Internet Hi George, I was wondering how you made out this year with your 1020 Papez seed? Earlier in the season you had put out an email that you had a good pumpkin growing on that plant. I was wondering if it ever turned into a 'big' pumpkin? Also, are there any other growers out there that grew the 1020 Papez with any success (ie: pumpkin over 850lbs or more?)? Thanks, David Sterling, MA I lost all my plants to an unknown disease or soil insect/disease. At the end of the season in November I will post pictures & possible causes as well as my plan of attack next year. If it doesn't work I may have to stop growing for a couple of years. This disorder has been seen by a few other growers and may be of concern to others. The Papez plant resisted longer than any of the others and was a perfect vine and plant before it hit.
